The Creative Advantage: The Importance of Labor

Seth Godin said it perfectly here. There used to be a time where individuals personally made products, their uniqueness comunicated through each project they did. Today’s automatic world, is a generic one filled with copies of copies. There is little room for unique expression in work. Creativity is lost for the sake of productivity. Here’s the big question, is productivity more important than individuality? Better yet, is there a way to have both?

Getting that off my chest, keep in mind that today’s automatic world is so productive that opportunity for honest, automatic work is often lost to machines. Creativity, an unlimited resource we all have, may be one of the best things we can offer ourselves in a new, innovative job market. Keep your options open and keep those creative juices flowing!
